State of the HectorSims

You haven't seen a post from me for a while because I haven't played Sims at all for a while (due in part to a glitch, and in part to no real desire to play [I could probably find a solution for the glitch fairly easily if I were more motivated]). I do have one more Valley Hills update played through, it just needs editing.

However, it will not be posted here. I've moved to DreamWidth and am slowly detaching myself from LJ. I will be recreating and maintaining this community there, however.

I can be found here, the new community is right here. This is an excellent guide to keeping up with people who have switched when you have no intention of doing so.

I will not be deleting or otherwise touching the content of this comm, because I'm not moving everything over. The new comm will start with a link back here, and then the next entries in the continuity (because I am a gigantic lazy-ass).

Thank you for reading! Hopefully you'll continue to do so, and if not, *waves* :)

Last Time: After Clementine and Juan graduated, the whole family - including the spares, a couple significant others, and the illegitimate babydaddy of three members of generation two - packed up and moved to a little town called Elsewhere; not all in the same house, of course! Clementine took over as lady of the house, Carmen and Malcolm enjoyed their dotage, biology was ignored in favor of convenience, and I started to wonder if I should play shorter periods of time between updates so I won't have to deal with so many birthdays.
This Time: An heir emerges victorious based entirely on ability to attract a potential lime green babymaker, there is much flirtation (particularly of the teenage lesbian variety), Sonny is a stereotype, Tiffany gets a boyfriend, the old folks get kind of senile, and somebody dies (dun dun duuun).

Milkshake, Yard, Etc.Collapse )

Elsewhere: Generation 2 Spares

Generation 2 Spares, YayCollapse )

(I had both this set of mini-updates and the next Hill Valley update all played through and ready to edit/post, I ended up flipping a coin to decide which got posted first, but the Hurleys should be coming in the next couple days. Whee, Hurleys.)

Elsewhere: The Speck-Trumm Legacy (2.3)

Last Time: Clementine went to college, and despite proving herself the worst knowledge Sim ever managed to graduate with a 4.0, while continuing to demonstrate horrible taste, getting herself a stalker, finding true love, and filling me with undying rage doing some other stuff.

YEEEARGHCollapse )

Last Time: After a childhood full of creepy twinning, the girls grew up. Clementine had questionable taste, Mallory was xXHaRdCoReXx, Carmen rocked the fuck out in her bathrobe, and Malcolm got old.
This Time: College! The girls go their separate ways; Clementine proves herself the worst knowledge Sim ever, continues to demonstrate horrible taste, gets herself a stalker, finds true love, and fills me with undying rage does some other stuff. Also, you'll get your first glimpse of grown-up Clementine I bet you can hardly contain yourself.

Don't Know Much BiologyCollapse )

Valley Hills: Johnson [1.3]

It's the house you've all been waiting for! Or, rather, the house I've been waiting for with a desperate yearning that borders on unhealthy. I mean...house. Update. Yes.

FfnerrrCollapse )

This is the first house in a while where I've gotten to the end and been NOT HAPPY AT ALL about stopping. I want to play them mooooooar.

Paradise Cove: The Speck-Trumm Legacy (2.1)

Last Time: Way too many birthdays, complete with rapid!miracle!baby-aging technology; Malcolm failed at everything, as did all the service Sims; Carmen got wrinkly, and the nest began to empty.

FUCK YEAHCollapse )

So the next update will be a college one WHOO.
It would appear that I am a fucking dork; when I saw these lovely sparkly skins my very first thought was "lol I wonder if someone's used them to make an ~*~authentic~*~ Edward Cullen".

No one had, that I could find, and at the time I didn't have the know-how. So I just yoinked the skins and stuck them in there with the other 5,000,000 ridiculous tones I have; Malcolm Landgraab V has a sparkle skintone.

But I've been slowly learning how to play with genetic content in SimPE, and apparently I never forgot my initial reaction to those skins, because I present to you:

Do I Dazzle You?

It's important to note that while your vampires will sparkle fabulously at night, in the sun they'll still burn to death as they would with any other skintone ;)
